Terry Yarbrough
In the mid-80’s, Terry visited Lakeshore with a friend, but
he didn’t make it into the main sanctuary immediately. He came to use the racquetball courts, which
at that time could be rented by the hour.
Even more significant was that his wife Marla had started attending
services at Lakeshore and asked Terry if he would come to Sunday services with
her… and commit to coming for a month.
He did and never stopped coming, giving his heart to the Lord during one
of Lakeshore’s “singspirations”. Since
then, Terry has served on the Board of Directors, taught in Sunday School and
the Royal Rangers boys’ program. In his
own words, he’s even “been known on occasion, to sing in a cantata.” Terry found himself becoming a key leader at
Lakeshore, and in time, was appointed as an Elder. Terry is currently employed in management
with Walgreens.
Terry’s wife and family are his key interests. He and his wonderful wife, Marla, are the
proud parents of two brilliant boys, Tim and Chris. Tim lives in
Terry also enjoys riding his Harley, traveling, collecting depression glass, breeding parrots, learning about personal finances, and flying. These days, you’ll find him pistol shooting at the range… and… riding his Harley.
